Unfortunately it has not been possible for TinB to rent mobility scooters for the Garden Trail this year so there will be no mobility scooters available on the Garden Trail weekend. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

May 2009

Preparations have begun for making Thorpe Salvin look fantastic again this year with compost delivery and spring planting working parties underway. If you want to get involved, please come along and get stuck in!

July 2008

Every year Thorpe Salvin in Bloom donate a substantial part of its fundraising to local charities. This year the nominated charities are Bluebell Wood and Weston Park Hospital Cancer Appeal.

6th August 2007

Thorpe Salvin in Bloom were today presented with the Gold Excellence Award, First Prize in the Rotherham in Bloom 'Village' Category. The awards ceremony was held at the Elton Hotel, Bramley, and Thorpe Salvin fought off stiff competition from several other local villages including Harthill, who won Silver.

Despite the poor weather in the run up to the weekend and problems with the usual car park, the Thorpe Salvin Garden Trail this year was still a great success. The weather was kind to us during the weekend and we managed to raise enough money to match last year's charity donations of £1500 which will be distributed to various local nominated charities.
